As a students’ rights organisation, we support students to make everyday life in Durham fairer and give students the tools to transform their education. We are owned by students, and campaign on the things that matter to them through having influence in University decision making spaces, creating networks and communities of students to do things better and publicising the issues that impact students so that we can influence change and demonstrate student opinion.
Some of our campaigns work is small, fast and agile – like pushing the publicity of proposed 8am lectures, and having discussions with University heads to resolved this issue for students, like we did over the summer. Some campaigns work is longer term, well defined and constantly evolving with the support of students across the University. You can find a description of these key current campaigns below along with a spotlight on some of our recent campaigning successes.
